Chinese Pregnancy Calendar
June 4, 2008
The Chinese pregnancy calendar was discovered in an ancient royal tomb more than 700 years ago. It was used to predict the gender of babies based on the age of the mother at the time of conception, as well as the month in which the baby was conceived
Origin of the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar
This Chinese Pregnancy Calendar whose origin is unknown is reputed to be based on the Yin Yang, Five elements and the Bagua or Eight Trigram and its prediction is believe to be quite accurate.
In order to predict the sex of the baby, you need the month of conception and your age based on the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
The basis of the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar is on the month of conception, rather than the birth month. In addition to the month of the baby’s conception, the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar also involves the age of the mother during her time of conception, and then the adding of nine months to her age in order to adjust the lunar calendar.
Chinese Pregnancy Calendar is based on Chinese lunar calendar which is totally different from the Western Calendar (Gregorian calendar). The lunar calendar use it’s own system to record dates and the four seasons. For example, the lunar month March is at 17th April 2007, so it is impossible to get accurate prediction based on the Western calendar.
How to Use Chinese Pregnancy Calendar
Chinese lunar months from January to December are listed on the top row of the Chinese pregnancy calendar, and the mother’s ages during the conception from 18 to 45 are listed on the left column of the pregnancy calendar.
