What do you do when you suffer from pains and aches in your body? You might go to a doctor for an injection or you might take some painkillers or apply some pain balm or spray.
But if your are told that you would get instant relief from those nagging pains and aches and that too without going to a doctor or without taking medicine or without using any accessory, how would you feel? For sure you will feel great. But then you will ask- how? It is all possible through a technique that dates back to the stone age. Amazed!
Yes, its very well possible through an ancient Chinese technique called acupressure. The rational behind such a technique is that it helps the body’s energy to move smoothly when relevant pressure is applied on relevant points on the body which works on the principle of stimulation of blood flow.
Actually this technique is a needle-free version of acupuncture and particularly works well for those who have aversion to needles.
Applying pressure on the correct points is the key to acupressure. These pressure points are called acupressure points and for different types of pain, pressure has to be applied on different acupressure points.
So it becomes extremely important to recognize such points before indulging into acupressure fully. Insufficient knowledge of such points can actually harm you or will not cure you.
To get relief from headache apply pressure on the area between your thumb and pointing finger for duration of 3 minutes on each hand. This pressure point is called ‘large intestine 4’.
To get relief from lower back pain, you need to rest on your back with two soft balls underneath on the extreme ends of your spine with your feet on chair.
To get relief from pain caused due to periods apply pressure on the area inside of your leg that is located near to your ankle.
To get relief from cramps apply pressure on top of your foot under your second toe.
If you are mentally exhausted and want to get instant relief, apply pressure on area between your nose and upper lip.
Acupressure generally works well when you are fully relaxed and practice it in a warm room.
