Paris Hilton is certainly one of the most photographed women in the world. She is, indeed, a living epitome of the idea “famous for being famous.” But life is not that easy for the wealthy heiress though she find it to be fun. Managing the cocoon of fame and popularity that has been spun around her is nothing shorter than serious business. It is also “hard work”. Being “Paris” is not easy. That is the whole idea behind her film documentary “Paris, Not France.”
For lesser mortals like you and me, a best friendship is something that ‘happens’. But that is not the case for celebrities. Even getting a best friend is a pompous affair. It is through a glamorous reality show that Paris has launched her fresh search for a best friend. In the show titled “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF”, Hilton goes tongue-in-cheek. Sure, she will be showered in the limelight for the coming months.
Of course, she is happy with her present boy friend Benji Madden and her best friend Nicole Richie. Nichole will continue to be her best friend as well. But at present she simply does not have much time to spare since her baby keeps her busy always.
However, Paris said there is nothing “ really hard” to be her best friend. And interested to know how Paris defines a friend? “Someone that I just trust and not someone who’s going to stab me in the back — it’s happened a lot in this town. Just someone I can have fun with, someone who could be like my sister.”
The twenty contestants who participate in the show will live in a house with Hilton. They will be ‘trained’ to be her best friend. She will lead them through lessons of loyalty, endurance and “girl politics.” One by one, each of the participants will be eliminated until the true gem gets selected as her best friend.
