Preparing for twins

Great! You’re having twins! It means you are going to handle two little bundles of joy at the same time…Of course, you will have certain worries regarding the fast approaching day of labour. And your bloat tummy will be a constant reminder of your physical strain. But, twin pregnancy is not that complicated as you think it should be. If the right preparations are done from the first trimester of conception itself, all is going to end well.
Compared to singletons, twin foetus needs more space and naturally, more gear. First and foremost, you need to accept the fact that you are going to nurse two kids at the same time. This means you have to enrich yourself with enough nutrients and minerals. While you go out for shopping or as you meet your paediatrician, you need to keep in mind that you have to provide the maximum possible comfort for both of them. By the time they really arrive into your world, you can prepare a list of important things that you think they will need. After all, nobody knows the needs of her kids better than their mother. This will also help you in settling your budget plan well n advance in an effective, manner.
Another important aspect, which needs your attention, is the decision regarding their lifestyle. Do you want your twins to share a single room as they did in your womb? Or, now that they have come out, do you want them to be on their own in two separate rooms? What is the kind of double stroller that will suit your purpose? Will you yourself be able to nurse both the hungry mouths or will you have to opt for bottle-feeding? If in doubt, you need to take the opinion of specialists.
Of course, buying for two will be costlier. If you find it difficult to make ends meet, you can teach them the basics of sharing from the very early age itself. They can use the same crib, the same bassinets, the same washtub etc. Second-hand shops are always open to help you. You should also not forget your sister whose baby has just crawled out of his diaper age. If neither money nor space is your concern, enjoy shopping!
