Pregnancy is a joyful time, but it can also be a time filled with worry and concern for many women. Noticing spotting during pregnancy can set off alarm bells for many pregnant women.

Spotting during pregnancy - Many women notice bleeding or spotting throughout their pregnancy, particularly during their first trimester. Typically, spotting during pregnancy will present as a darker, brownish color, or possibly a light pink. This color generally means that what you are experiencing is normal spotting. Typical causes for spotting during pregnancy include hemorrhoids, yeast infections, or urinary tract infections. None of these are very serious, and are experienced at some point during pregnancy by many women, whether they spot or not. A quick visit to your doctor will ease your mind, as he or she will most generally be able to offer something for the relief of the underlying cause of your spotting.
