As an effective moisturizer, olive oil helps in maintaining the skin supple, elastic, hydrated and smooth. The facial mask made by mixing olive oil with an egg yolk and some honey, if applied for fifteen minutes daily, is found to make the skin glow with radiance.

Olive oil also makes a great hair tonic. It makes the hair follicles shine and traps the moisture inside. Olive oil is found to work wonders on dry-haired women. Olive oil is found to smoothen the palms. The mix made by adding a pinch of sugar to two spoons of olive oil, when rubbed on rough hands for ten minutes, will leave it extremely smooth and soft.

Another beneficial aspect of olive oil is that it is good for nails. If soaked in the mix made by blending lemon juice and olive oil for five minutes, nails will be strengthened and made whiter. Olive oil is also used in eye beautification. A couple of olive oil drops will prevent your mascara from drying.
